Frantz Sanon
President and CEO, Advance Building Associates, LLCAs a professional in the industry for more than 18 years, Frantz Sanon has extensive experience in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction management. Mr. Sanon has worked for numerous architectural, construction management and government agencies and has completed several multi-million dollar projects. His knowledge in the industry allows him to succeed in all projects awarded under his professional services and expertise.
Mr. Sanon is the current President and CEO of Advance Building Associates, LLC, where he develops company policies, financial and strategic planning, market and feasibility analysis as well as handling the recruitment and training of all employees. Among his many successful projects are two projects for Harris-Stowe State University that consist of a $15-million Early Childhood Development Center and a $15-million dormitory, formally known as Gillespie Hall. He also participated in the development and construction of a $37-million project for Washington University that consists of a dormitory, formally known as Small Group Housing and a four-level parking garage known as Snow-Way parking garage. Mr. Sanon also participated in the design and construction of two projects for Webster University that consist of an $18-million library and $7-million parking structure. He managed a portion of the $160-million school capital improvement program for St. Louis Public Schools and developed a total construction budget and construction management plan for an Argyle parking structure at a cost of $11.2 million.
Prior to his role with Advance Building Associates, Mr. Sanon worked for Harris-Stowe State University as a Physical Plan Director where he performed campus design reviews and oversaw all new and renovated construction projects. Before working for Harris-Stowe, Mr. Sanon worked for nearly 10 years as a project/program manager at Kwame Building Group, Inc. Mr. Sanon also worked for the St. Louis Housing Authority as Project Manager, where he managed project design, provided project supervision, established work plan and staffing. He was previously an architect and planner for the St. Louis Development Corporation Urban Design Department and housing architect for the Community Development Agency of the city of St. Louis. He also worked as a project architect for Gappaul Architects.
Sanon’s higher education began at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture in Brooklyn, New York, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture, a five-year professional degree. He is a candidate of NCARB & AIA membership for the states of Missouri and Illinois. He is MBE certified with the Missouri Department of Transportation and the St. Louis Minority Business Council. Mr. Sanon is also a member of the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers, Contractor’s Assistance Program (CAP), Associated General Contractor of America (AGC St. Louis) and the Diversity Committee.
